Contents and course of the project
The “Autism Exodus” project focuses on a Europe-wide exchange on autism and on working out scientific modules for further and continuing education and training. The project is to last 3 years (2002 – 2005).
A work group composed of representatives from the seven partner institutions from Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands meets regularly on the premises of each partner.
A detailed schedule is drawn up before each meeting that structures the contents of the exchanges and uses them to ensure a continuous further development of the work of the project.
The work group receives external scientific advice and support at regular intervals, in particular from Prof. Dr. R. J. Van der Gaag (Academic Centre for Child and Youth Psychiatry, Nijmegen) Mrs Rita Jordan BSc., MSc., MA., PhD. C. Psychol. (University of Birmingham) and Mr Theo Peeters (Training Centre for Autism, Antwerp).
A detailed summary of the project dates and contents can be downloaded here.
